Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AuraCheck (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and NovaBranch Pte. Ltd. ("NovaBranch", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Singapore.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use AuraCheck. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent. We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to be held by users under 13.

3. Your Account

AuraCheck uses Apple Sign-In for authentication. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Apple ID
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring your username does not impersonate another person or entity
• Notifying us immediately at hello@novabranch.co if you suspect unauthorised use of your account

You may delete your account at any time via the Profile tab. Upon deletion, your content and personal data will be permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Content You Post

You retain ownership of the photos and content you post ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant NovaBranch a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and distribute your User Content within the App for the purpose of operating the platform.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the right to post the content
• Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• You have obtained the consent of any identifiable individuals appearing in your content
• Your content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws

5. Prohibited Content & Conduct

You agree not to post, upload, or engage in the following:

• Nudity, sexually explicit, or pornographic content
• Content depicting or promoting violence, self-harm, or harm to others
• Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality
• Harassment, bullying, threatening, or intimidating other users
• Content featuring or intended for minors in any sexual or inappropriate context
• Spam, artificially inflated fire counts, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour
• Impersonating another person, brand, or public figure
• Content that violates any applicable Singapore law or regulation
• Attempting to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App's infrastructure

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban without notice.

6. Reporting & Blocking

AuraCheck provides in-app tools to report content or block users. Reports are reviewed by NovaBranch and actioned at our discretion. Blocking a user prevents them from appearing in your feed and prevents them from seeing your content. We do not guarantee any specific response time or outcome for reports.

7. Campus Turfs & Leaderboards

Turf affiliations (campus/institution labels) are self-selected and unverified. NovaBranch makes no representation as to the accuracy of any Turf affiliation. We reserve the right to remove or modify Turf options at any time. Leaderboard rankings are determined algorithmically by fire counts and reset weekly.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights in the AuraCheck app, including its design, code, branding, and original content, are owned by NovaBranch Pte. Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the App without our prior written consent.

9. Push Notifications

AuraCheck may send you push notifications for events such as new followers and reactions. You can disable push notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → AuraCheck.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

AuraCheck is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, NovaBranch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or reputational harm. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed SGD 50.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to AuraCheck at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You may terminate your use by deleting your account and uninstalling the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via a push notification or in-app notice. Continued use of the App after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
