NovaBranch Pte. Ltd. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the AuraCheck mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
A. User-Provided Information
- Account Information: When you secure your account using Apple Sign-In, we collect the associated authentication tokens and, if authorized by you, your name and email address.
- Profile Data: We collect the custom `@username` you create and any profile images you upload.
- User-Generated Content: We collect the 5-second video “AuraChecks”, captions, and thumbnails you voluntarily record and upload to the App’s feed.
B. Device and App Permissions
- Camera and Microphone: The App requires access to your device’s camera and microphone strictly for the purpose of allowing you to record and upload video content. We do not access your camera or microphone in the background.
- Push Notifications: With your explicit consent, we may send push notifications regarding community interactions (e.g., when you receive “fire” or new followers).
C. Automatically Collected Information
We collect basic usage metrics, such as your “last active” timestamp and interaction data (e.g., likes, follows, blocks, and reports), to calculate your “Aura” score and maintain the Leaderboard.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App’s core functionality (e.g., the video feed and leaderboard).
- To manage your account and authentication securely.
- To enforce our safety guidelines, review reported content, and block abusive users.
- To calculate public metrics, such as follower counts and “Aura” scores.
3. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to facilitate our infrastructure. These parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose:
- Google Firebase: We use Firebase Realtime Database, Firebase Authentication, and Firebase Storage to securely store your user data, profile images, and video content.
- Apple Sign-In: We use Apple’s secure authentication ecosystem to verify your identity without requiring traditional passwords.
4. User-Generated Content & Safety
AuraCheck is a public arena. Videos you post can be viewed by other users. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content or abusive users. You can flag inappropriate content using the in-app “Report” feature and block users entirely. Reported content is reviewed within 24 hours, and offending content/users will be removed.
5. Data Deletion & Retention
You have full control over your data. You may delete individual videos directly from your profile grid at any time. Furthermore, you can permanently delete your entire account using the “Trash” icon on your profile page. This action instantly and permanently erases your video files, profile images, authentication records, and database presence from our active servers.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
